How do I request equipment items?

A variety of equipment is available for check out at the library's Circulation Desk. Equipment items are able to be placed on hold. When you place a request, you will be placed in a queue. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and requests are fulfilled in the order they are received. Once the item becomes available, you will be notified by email and we will hold the item for you for up to three days.
To see available equipment, go to the library's equipment page. Find the type of item you would like to request and click on 'Browse these items'.
On the next page, find the exact equipment item you would like to request. Click on 'Check availability'.
The item record for that equipment item will then pop-up. This page will show you the check out status of that item. To place a request, click on 'Request from Stout (1-3 days)'.
Choose a pickup location. Equipment items cannot be shipped. So set the pickup location to 'UW Stout Library' and click on 'Send Request'.
Once the item is ready for you to check out, you will receive an email. You have three days after it becomes available to pick it up from the library.
